Here are just a few reasons that make LifeQuest different from all the other fertility clinics:

  • Our onsite lab provides a technological advantage. Our technology is so well respected that other doctors from other fertility clinics do their embryology at the LifeQuest lab.

  • Our lab director has trained several medical directors and other lab directors from other clinics across Canada. And, his expertise is so well respected that he has been invited to lecture about embryology to the graduating class of REI’s in their last year of fellowship to help them better understand the relationship of the doctor and the embryology lab in order to provide the best outcome for patients.

  • What does this mean for you, the patient? LIfeQuest’s expertise is greater, and our technology is better. This translates into a higher pregnancy rate at LifeQuest.

  • Our medical team is led by Dr. Carl Laskin and Dr. Ken Cadesky, two of Canada’s foremost fertility specialists with a 20-year record of success treating infertility.

  • LifeQuest performs Blastocyst (day 5 embryo) transfers almost exclusively. For comparison purposes, a standard day 3 embryo has 8 cells, whereas a blastocyst has 100 cells. Transferring a more mature embryo increases the probability of pregnancy, and at the same time, reduces the risk of multiple births because fewer embryos can be transferred without risking the chances of pregnancy. And, LifeQuest performs more PGD cycles than any other clinic in Canada, providing a sophisticated prenatal benefit for couples.

  • LifeQuest’s team is with you every step of the way. Our nursing staff and our patient liaison provide personal, one-on-one patient care. It’s what distinguishes us from other clinics. And, we know it’s important because our patients tell us “you know what you’re doing, and you took good care of us…”

  • LifeQuest was the first clinic in Canada to offer Spindleview. Also called Oosight, this state-of-the-art technique is used to assess egg quality. Spindleview reflects harmless light beams off the spindle portion of the egg in order to view it. We have been using Spindleview on selected patients with suspected oocyte abnormalities, have made a number of very important observations, and as a result, have derived a number of clinical applications for its use. For more information about this technique please click here to read an article written by Jim Meriano, LifeQuest's Lab Director.
